What Damages Your Mental Health?

Many studies tie social media to poor sleep, depression, and poor academic performance. When using social media, the user will tend to compare themselves to others or feel left out. Youth students are especially impressionable, negatively impacting their mental health.
“Stressful School Days,” 12th Grade Student
School can be very draining and stressful. School can also be very draining when you have responsibilities at home that you have to take care of, and you have schoolwork that you have to do. School can take a huge toll on your mind. I wish that teachers were more understanding about students having stressful days at school.

Mental health can be damaged in so many ways, including: family issues, schoolwork, a job, financial problems, being overstimulated, having too much on your plate, and many more. Anything could jeopardize your mental health. It’s all how you approach/handle your mental health. In 2023, mental health is a major problem because it’s not talked about enough, and that causes people to not open up because they might feel judged. In the picture, it shows that a student is stressed because they have a lot of schoolwork, and they’re starting to become overwhelmed.

Confrontation. I avoid it at all costs because it makes me freeze up and shut down. When I’m shut down, I tend to be in my head, and that has a negative impact on me.
